YOLO! Like the kids say. Indeed you only live once, unless of course, someone has lied to you and told you you’re a cat in which case you have nine lives. When I see photos of seniors in their 100’s I can only imagine what they looked like say, eighty years ago. Then I juxtapose that image with what I think Noah looked like at age 950 when he died, and I can’t help but yelp. Seriously, I gotta hand it to the old testament folks and their livers that made it through all those years. I wonder what makes…

I remind myself that every solitary challenge that has the capability to make me anxious or depressed has an expiration date. It expires when either of the two things happen  (1) The problem is resolved somehow—no matter how long it takes or whatever fashion it chooses to arrive (2) God takes me away from this earth, thus rendering the problem non-existent since as a celestial being, all that earthly drama ceases to be my cup of tea. Either way, something will give. That’s just life.  So enjoy every bit of it.

If you have lost a loved one and your heart is broken with grief, say this prayer: Father, I need you to wrap your arms around me and comfort me. I am sad and deeply grieved at the death of <insert name of deceased>. Today, I am asking for strength to face the day as i can’t bear this pain in my weary heart. Give me hope for tomorrow, so that as each day passes, time will heal my broken heart. Even as <insert name of deceased> has passed, may his/her memory live on in my heart. Please help me…
